Hot Chip “I Feel Better”
Great track with a boy band, lasers, powder, and a black devil. Pretty much all things awesome.

How could I not post this? “Yeah I’m sorry, I can’t afford a Ferrari.” Too good.
The idea of a video portrait or a “moving painting” as Kanye refers to it is very interesting. In a day and age where there is a fear of motion and multimedia killing the still image and print media- this is a an inspiring reference for the ever blurring line of photography, video, and cgi. Being familiar with Marco Brambilla’s Civilization and always a fan of Kanye I actually watched the premiere last night live on MTV. Amongst the numerous Renaissance, Mythological, and Egyptian references, my favorite is the Sword of Damocles seen hanging over Kanye’s head. Hit the jump for a Vulture interview with Brambilla.

Guess I wasn’t the only one who envisioned an all ages interracial creepy dance party for this song. Touché Simon Owens.

Here’s another beautiful video from Yu(c)k, for “Daughter,” the opening track from their extremely limited forthcoming Weakend cassette EP, out next month on Mirror Universe. Created by the Phoebe Eason
Happy Friday. Nothing like some Neon Indian and stop-action spiders to kick off your weekend. Directed by Joao Machado.
Why not?
I love Röyksopp and Dreijer Andersson (The Knife and Fever Ray) and this one of my favorite videos….. ever. The awesome weirdness is courtesy of Filip and Andreas Nilsson. Also responsible for directing other favorites such as Fever Ray’s “If I Had a Heart,” Peter, Björn & John’s “Nothing to Worry About,” and MGMT’s “Flash Delirium.” Props to Fine Citizen for sharing back when we where designing this blog.
I apologize for the pre-video Jack in the Box commercial but at least its a good one. “Do not eat my face.”
